September 2008

I’ve got four new semi-solid sock yarn skeins listed in my shop today — you can find these rainbow of colors here!

I have been working on four more skeins of yarn that should be available no later than Thursday — I’ll be sure to give you a sneak peek here!

I’ll also leave you with a sneak preview of a knitted sock pattern that I plan on listing tomorrow!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the details!

Well, it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted, and it feels good to feel up to sitting here and writing!

Before, during, and after we had company visit, I had a nasty cold — I gave you a preview earlier with the tissues and cough drops pic, and I figured that my camera doesn’t have enough pixels to fit into a picture all of the tissues used in the last month (and really, who saves them — no, no, I don’t want to know!)

In my cold-induced fog, I completely forgot to take pictures of the completed surprise projects that I gave you a teaser or two for! Well, they were actually four pairs of socks — made from worsted weight yarn — that I figure will make great slippers!

My father, mother, sister, and brother-in-law really seemed to enjoy them! Oh, well — guess I need to make more socks to take pictures of!

We really enjoyed our visit — it has been way too long since we’ve seen them, and already our 3-(almost 4)-year-old can’t understand why we can’t see them again today! There was lots of talking, crafting, “Wii-ing”, and more — but the highlight for me, anyway, was the scooter rides!

Unfortunately, none of the adult passengers were willing to have their scooter rides immortalized in picture on the internet, but suffice to say, there were many great facial expressions captured on film! Even Pop-pop and Mom-mom joined in, so they can now say they’ve done it all!

The night before everyone left, we went to the Grape Vine Restaurant (in Paris, no less!) This restaurant has become a favorite to us, with home-cooked appeal and a friendly atmosphere — the ladies among us always love to see the grape vine quilt on the wall as well!

I’m going to leave you with a hand dyed yarn teaser – some semi-solids! I’ve been able to dye a few skeins of yarn, and am hoping to increase my inventory in my Etsy shop over the next week or so!

I’ll have some pictures of my newest yarn listings, along with some sock patterns to come, in the next few days!

In every thing
give thanks:
for this
is the will of God
in Christ Jesus
concerning you.

I Thessalonians 5:18

Well, the remnants of Gustav have pretty much limited our activities around here to inside for the next few days!

~ we are right above the first "t" in "Little Rock", so it'll be raining awhile ~

And an allergy or cold or something has limited my activities inside as well to . . . these!

I’ve mailed out my first Sock Club memberships today, and look forward to getting ready for October!

But, for now, I’m going to put my feet up and get rid of this cold so that I’ll be ready for company at the end of the week!
