Sampler Afghan progress — block #38

This afghan is another stash-busting project in the Red Heart section of my stash. This time, I will be working on a sampler afghan from the book

60 Easy-To-Knit Pattern Stitches
Combine to Create Sampler Afghans
Leisure Arts #932

For those on Ravelry, you can find it here.

The book gives you a choice of 3 different afghans, 20 squares each, and I’ve chosen #2. I began the first square a couple days ago — I decided to start on square #38 . . .

and I’m almost finished, just an inch or so more.

I’m really enjoying the texture on this square, and it’s a very quick, mindless pattern — which was what I was going for this time!

P.S. — Hang around here long enough, and one might just get the sneaking suspicion that green is my favorite color!

  1. Is it a trick of the camera, or are you using a mossy green for the moss and rib block square? Nice. Now if you only had some green needles…

  2. Oh, well I guess I should have shared what colors I plan to use . . . sigh! =)

I’m using Aran, Dark Sage, and the square above is in Light Sage.

Now what to do when all the greens in my stash are gone . . . !
